Timberon Fly-In

May 17th, 18th, & 19th, 2013

The 3rd Annual Timberon Fly-in was made possible through the partnership of the NM Pilot’s Association and the Timberon Development Council. Local residents Bill and Bobbi Brown, plane enthusiasts, have been an integral part of the success of this program. They are always available to meet and greet old and new friends. Each year, the fly-in is generating more interest in Timberon’s little airstrip.

Over the years, the airstrip at Timberon has seen many uses. It has and still does provide access for emergency air service, the military has been visible here, and the different agencies responsible for fighting forest fires have also found it useful.

The past three years have seen more airplanes participating and pilots eager to return and enjoy this outing. Residents are invited to view the planes up close and talk with the pilots. A 4th Annual is planned, so be looking up.
