Timberon Western Day 2010

Come spend a day in the tall pines of the Sacramento Mountains and enjoy a Western-themed community event. The community of Timberon is planning a special day for all their neighbors in the region, and it’s free admission.
Booths around the grassy lawn will feature blacksmithing demonstrations, barbecue and other food, arts and crafts vendors from four states and raffles for merchandise including a beautiful handmade quilt.
Live performances will provide a musical backdrop to all the events, which include a pie-making contest, horseshoe tournament and lots of games for children. Kids can practice their lasso skills on a hay bale calf.
Visitors who find themselves in the event's "jail" can post donation “bail” money for their freedom.
Timberonians will be dressed in 1800’s western attire and they invite their neighbors to come in costume, too, jeans and boots count!
A pleasant drive through the cool mountains, a lovely afternoon in the shade of the pine forest and back home for fireworks. Timberon Western Day is a great way to spend July 3.
In Timberon on the 4th: Timberon Independence Day ATV Run sponsored by Sacramento ATV.
